Fimmaking Frenzy

Filmmaking Frenzy is your home on the web for filmmaking competitions. Completed videos for our two most recent frenzies, the 2008 Fantastic Fest Bumper Competition and the 2008 Bloodshots Competition, are now online. You can also check out movies from past Frenzies in our Past Frenzies section, and you can keep up to date with future Frenzies here on this page or in the nav bar at the top.

When you sign up for any competition you'll need to register as a Filmmaking Frenzy user first, then that account will be tied to all of the events you enter and you'll be able to access your info in one centralized location. But don't worry, you can still change your team name from Skippy Monkey Jumpers to Harpoon Happies whenever you feel like it.

Individual competitions may have different registration fees (although most are free), but signing on as a FilmmakingFrenzy.com user will always be totally free, so several people from your team can register and join the community as it builds. We also post information, videos, photos and updates at our Filmmaking Frenzy Facebook community.

Our most recent Frenzy, PIMP MY TV, left us with a whole lot of great films. The results are in, and the winners were:

PIMP MY TV: Top Ten Finalists

PIMP MY TV, our latest fake trailer making competition, has come to a close, but I'll be god damned if this contest didn't bring out some of my favorite videos we've ever had on this site.

If you haven't had a chance to check these out yet, I highly recommend spending some time in your work day afternoon to get caught up with the Top Ten finalists in this competition, as each of these had our judges tearing their eyeballs out with indecision when it came time for them to choose the ultimate winners.

Fighter pilots don't need a back story... at least not much of a story. We'd rather watch the dogfights.

MyNeighborJess I spy with my eye an episode of The Critic in the opening montage! YES! This is shot very well and has excellent use of "Noooooo!" in slo-mo AND Clint Howard! And I'm glad Kevin Spacey got himself a gig post-21. posted february, 2009

JackBauersAce To finish what I said below: I didn't think pilots in a dogfight sound soft and robot-like. I imagine them as yelling and being excited. Also, more obnoxious Top Gun music would help during the dog fight! posted february, 2008
